We can’t even tell you how badly we wanted to book a night here at the Lily Pad, which is a shipping container cabin. It’s not often you find the hip amenities of big city apartments in the middle of the woods, but this spot has it all! A motorized garage door which allows for easy indoor/outdoor living, an outdoor swing bed on a covered patio, a gas grill, and a hot tub are all amenities that make this a special getaway for a couple. So, if you love nature, but also love your smart TV and wifi, this might be your ideal Hocking Hills cabin. Sleeps 2

3. Hocking Hills Caboose

“Why do cabins in the woods have to be so boring?” is what this Hocking Hills Caboose wants to know. Here’s a unique opportunity to stay in a historic caboose that has been newly renovated to sleep 5. Just miles from popular trails for hiking in Hocking Hills, this caboose is perfect for a family with kids!

4. Buckeye Barn Treehouse

The Buckeye Barn Treehouse has got all the rustic charm you can handle. With a cable bridge entry way and a hot tub high in the trees, this cabin which sleeps 4 is quite an experience. However, if you plan to work remotely from here or have little children, you’ll need to take special note. Kids under 5 are not allowed and there is no wifi in this treetop getaway.

7. Chapel Valley Lodge

Need to squeeze your big family into a cabin? You should check out this church-turned-cabin that sleeps 14 and has enough space for 6 vehicles. There’s even a hot tub and a piano (cue the family talent show after dinner). And guess what? You won’t have to leave your pets at home, because this cabin is pet-friendly.

We’re not kidding about this stunner of a cabin when we call it a bucket list contender. It sleeps up to 26 and boasts an indoor pool, a movie theater, arcade games, and 8 bedrooms in a 6500 square foot space. It’s a mansion-cabin with big memory-making potential!

Hiking in Hocking Hills

The trails in Hocking Hills are some of the most scenic in the midwest. Over the years, Hocking Hills has received much notoriety as the #1 campground in the nation and one of the best state parks. There are some must-hikes when you visit the area:
